Stop the Floor Leak
PRODUCTION Assistant · MES for cabinet & millwork shops

The profit you're chasing is already inside your building.

Your CAD/CAM software engineers the job perfectly. Then the parts hit the floor, and nobody can tell you where they are, which ones got re-cut, or whether the truck is leaving complete. WEB-CAB closes that gap. Every part is tracked from nest to jobsite.

Where the margin goes

Five stations. Five places the job quietly gets more expensive.

None of these show up on a quote. All of them show up in the year-end number.

Five shop stations, from engineering to shipping, each quietly leaking money
STATION 01

Engineering

The design is ready for the CNC. On the floor, job details live in paper travelers or shared folders. Workers lose time finding drawings and checking revisions, and you pay for rework when the wrong version gets used.

Rework born here
STATION 02

Cut & nest

A part gets damaged or mis-cut. It goes on a cart, on a note, in someone's head, and the replacement gets cut a day later than it needed to be.

Untracked re-cuts
STATION 03

Sorting

A pile of parts and one person who knows what goes where. Even your best people spend time matching panels instead of building cabinets. Miss a part, and assembly stops to hunt for it.

Search time
STATION 04

Assembly

Which cabinet is next? Are the parts ready? When answers depend on paperwork and asking around, assemblers lose building time, and a cabinet thought to be finished still needs more work.

Delays & rework
STATION 05

Shipping

The truck leaves one box short. You pay for the callback, the second trip, and the part of the client's trust you don't get back.

Estimate your yearly loss

How much are mistakes costing you? Put your own numbers in.

Two leaks, both measurable: time your floor spends not building, and jobs that ship incomplete. Adjust every field. The defaults are examples, not benchmarks.

An order-of-magnitude estimate built entirely from the figures you enter. Meant to start an argument with your own controller, not to replace one.

What changes on the floor

One system between your CAD/CAM and your loading dock.

PRODUCTION Assistant imports what engineering already produced, then follows every part through the shop. Four things change first.

One connected line from the CAD/CAM screen to the loading dock, with every part scanned along the way
Outcome 01

Every part has an address

Parts are labelled at the source and scanned at each station, so "where is it?" becomes a lookup instead of a walk. Damaged parts get flagged and re-queued the moment they're found, not the day assembly stalls.

  • Smart labels & RFID
  • Parts tracking
  • Automated sorting
  • Damaged parts management
Outcome 02

Nothing gets typed twice

Engineering data imports straight from your existing CAD/CAM and ERP. Travelers, labels, station lists and cut data all come from one source, so the floor is never working off a stale printout.

  • Engineering import
  • ERP / CAD-CAM integration
  • Pro instructions
  • 3D assembly views
Outcome 03

The bottleneck names itself

Live dashboards show throughput per station and where work is piling up today, not at month end. Activities synchronize so you can actually run one-piece flow instead of talking about it.

  • Dashboards & KPIs
  • Activity synchronization
  • Time keeping
  • Jobsite tracking
Outcome 04

The truck leaves complete

Kitting and staging are verified by scan, and shipping won't clear a load with missing parts. Your client sees the status in their own portal instead of phoning you for it.

  • Kitting & staging
  • Shipping management
  • Customer portal
  • Delivery control
What our customers have to say

Best moments from seven Customer Spotlights.

No script, no voiceover. Just shop owners describing what their floor looked like before, in their own words.

Who runs on it

Cabinet, millwork and casework shops across North America.

Kitchen and bath, architectural millwork, closets and storage, furniture, doors and interior trim. Anywhere a job is a few hundred parts that all have to arrive together.

The four things shops ask first.

A checklist with four ticked questions, a handheld scanner and a labelled cabinet box
We already have Cabinet Vision. Doesn't that cover this?

Cabinet Vision engineers the job. It tells the machines what to make. It doesn't follow the parts afterward. WEB-CAB starts where your CAD/CAM output ends: it reads that engineering data and tracks each part through cutting, sorting, assembly, kitting and delivery. The two are complements, not alternatives, which is why we integrate rather than replace.

My guys won't scan anything.

That's the right thing to be skeptical about, and it's the first thing we look at with you, station by station. The scan has to be faster than the workaround it replaces: a label at the station, one scan, no keyboard. Where a station can't sustain that, we'd rather leave it out of scope than watch it quietly get skipped and poison the data.

We're not a big shop. Is this overkill?

WEB-CAB scales to the size of your business. Start with the capabilities you need today and expand as you grow. With a small team, time spent searching for parts or correcting mistakes is time taken away from the next job. Protecting that time helps protect your margin.

How long before it's actually running?

Most shops are up and running within two months, with integration and training handled through several scheduled meetings during that period. WEB-CAB uses the job information already in your CAD/CAM software. We connect that information and configure your stations to match how your shop works, keeping the setup focused and manageable.

Walk us through one job from order to truck. We'll point at the three places you're most likely losing money and tell you which of them we can actually fix. If the answer is none, we'll say so.
